Building Permits in Greater Napanee
Permits in town and in the surrounding hamlets come from the Town of Greater Napanee's building department, not the county. Owner-built additions and basement finishes need one, with framing and insulation inspected before board goes up.
Much of the area sits on the Napanee limestone plain, where bedrock is close to the surface. That keeps many basements shallow and cool, so we use moisture resistant board below grade.
