Properties on the river face conditions a Kingston subdivision never sees. Humidity swings off the water, long unheated shoulder seasons and freeze-thaw cycles all put stress on drywall.
An unheated cottage expands and contracts all winter, which is why taped joints crack and nail pops appear by spring. Many owners find new damage on their first spring visit.
We use mould resistant board in damp areas, set-type compounds that hold up to movement, and fastening schedules that keep board tight through the seasons.

Working Around the Tourist Season
Summer in Gananoque means traffic, busy rentals and full parking along the waterfront. Most owners prefer drywall work in the shoulder seasons, from April to early June and from September into November.
We recommend booking shoulder-season work early, because that window fills up. Urgent repairs, like water damage, are handled whenever they happen.
